Moments of Mindfulness: Tip 5: Bake. Celebrity Bake Off was recently on TV and it’s inspired us – why not join in and bake along at home? Spending time in the kitchen and trying new recipes is a great way to live in the moment (and if you’re not quite ready to invest in your baking skills why not order some cakes from the local bakery and support your high street?)

Moments of Mindfulness. Tip 4: Spring clean. We’re all spending so much time at home, so now’s the perfect chance to invest in some spring cleaning and organise your space. It’s also the ideal opportunity to give back, whether it’s organising your food cupboards and donating to a local food bank or clearing out your wardrobe to donate to charity.

Moments of Mindfulness: Tip 2: Do something you love. Mindfulness is all about living in the here and now and what better way to do that than by doing something you love? Moments of Mindfulness:Tip 1: Try something new. To focus your attention on the present, try learning a new skill or taking up a new hobby. This picture is a throwback to our succulent making workshop, which we hosted with @smallandgreencambridge earlier in the year. It was a great way to bring people together to do something creative. Although you can’t get everyone together physically, why not pick a new skill to learn with a friend and host virtual workshops instead?

Support local businesses! Due to the COVID-19 outbreak small businesses are suffering, but you can do a few things to help: – Get your groceries from a local corner store. – Shop online from independent retailers. – Missing freshly made lattes? Try making them yourself by getting the beans from your local indie store. – Support your favourite restaurant by ordering a takeaway. – Support your local food banks – find out what they need the most and donate. And most importantly, stay at home and support the NHS!
